Updates and more to come...

Ok I know I promised photos over the weekend...so what else is new... I am late as usual.
We actually had a pretty good weekend... after going to the park on Thurs., we spent Fri. moving things around in the house, and what was supposed to be a one day project turned into a whole weekend project (and to be honest, still is not completely done). But we did manage to find the time to take the kids to see the movie Space Chimps. It was pretty funny... although there were a lot of double meanings to some of the jokes... but most of that stuff was way over the kids heads. There was nothing really bad about any of it. I think it was trying to be like Aladdin and put some jokes in there the parents would get. LOL. The kids loved it, and want to get the DVD... I am thinking Christmas... but we'll see. :)
Anyway, I am hoping to have an announcement tomorrow, so for now, I leave you with a few photos and the promise of some big news tomorrow... so make sure to check back... (hehe I got you all hooked now. LOL)

Summer Montage

Ok I know it has been awhile since I posted. Unfortunately, it has been been a pretty miserable summer here the last month (or longer...) with temps climbing into the 110-115 range. YUCK! So to be honest, we have been homebodies the last few weeks. We did attempt to venture to the park yesterday for an adventure (Tim is very big on trips being adventures now. LOL), but even at 9am it was hot and sticky, so were home by 10. I did still manage to get some pictures, and I will try and get them up this weekend. So to tide you all over I am posting a Summer Fun montage. We may not have done a whole lot since Memorial day, but we have still managed to have a great time anyway. Hope you like it, and check back soon...
Thanks!

Updates and more...

OK, so it has now been just over a month with no new photos and info... bet some of you are chomping at the bit... NOT! Like any of you really care about anything other than the cute pics that get posted of the kids... LOL. No really, I know that is not the case. I do appreciate those who stop by and take the time to read the blog and keep up with the goings on in our lives.
Just wanted to take some time to post some updated photos, and drop a line or two about the happenings in our busy household.
Well, I guess first up would have to be our annual trip to see my folks and attend VBS at their church. The kids had a blast. We spent some time at the local splash pad, as well as attending VBS everyday, so we were pretty busy. The theme this year for VBS was Cactus Canyon... a cute western theme, where all the kids got to dress up like cowboys and cowgirls. My kids really got into it!
Next, I guess would be Independence day. We celebrated with both sides of our family, with a BBQ at the house, and ended the day watching the fireworks from our front yard. We almost missed them though as it was very cloudy and rainy in some parts of our normally clear skied city.
Not to long after the 4th, Mike and I celebrated 13 years of marriage. It's crazy to think we have been married that long... although admittedly some times it feels like a lot longer than that... ROFL. Really, Mike and I have had 13 years together and are incredibly blessed that the God has granted us that much time, and we can only hope and pray for may more years to come. (OK now everybody all together.... AWWWWWWWWWWW!)
Well, our most recent outing was at a local splash pad here in the valley. We had a blast, as usual. Anything that can cool you off in the desert is always a good thing. Although we did have one instance where Lex decided to throw a fit... it was really hard for me not to laugh especially when taking this photo: (For more photos of the splash pad check out my photo blog)
Over all things are well here. We are dealing with an infestation of ants in our house, but other than that things are well here. I am always on the look out for more photo opportunities with the kids, so hopefully there will be more to post soon. Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great weekend!

Just to keep you all drooling for more, I am posting some fire works pictures I took from last year. Have a wonderful Independence Day and a great weekend. Make sure to check back... SOON!

Sigh

Well I was hoping to be able to put up a post, and tell everyone the good news of whether we were having a boy or a girl.
(sigh) Alas, this kid I am carrying is already proving to be stubborn. During the ultrasound, we noticed his/her head right up under my belly button... that was ok we got to make sure everything was where it was supposed to be... eyes, nose mouth, we even got to see the heart beat. But this child WOULD NOT MOVE! Shesh... not even to give the Dr. a peek so we could find out if this baby was a boy or girl. So sadly we are still in the dark, as far as whether to plan for another girl or boy.
I suppose it really should not matter to much, considering we have one of each already.... but I REALLY WANT TO KNOW! Can you tell I am not good with surprises. Christmas and birthdays are awful for me... LOL
Anyway, my Dr. said at the 7 month mark they would do another ultrasound, and hopefully, this child will be a little more... cooperative. So until then... we just keep telling the kids, we do not know if the baby will be a boy or girl.
The debate continues for them, as they keep changing what they want, a brother or sister. I guess on the upswing, the kids are learning some interesting debate skills in the process.
I think the next few (10, 20...) years are going to be interesting...

Peach picking

We had the wonderful opportunity to go and pick some peaches yesterday at a local farm. The kids even got to ride on a little train they had. We all had a blast! I thought I'd post some of the pictures from our outing. Hope you enjoy them.

Repost

Ok I know I posted these for the kids birthdays in Feb., but I wanted to repost them in case some of you missed it. I guess this pregnancy is making me sentimental or something... I nearly cried as I was looking back over the last year with the kids. It's amazing how fast they grow up. I cannot wait till their next birthdays so I can put another one of these montages together. Anyway Enjoy!

Update (caution there are lots of photos)

Wow, it has only been just over 10 days since I last blogged and yet it seems like so much has happened in such a short time. I guess the expression "time flies when you are having fun" would surely fit here.
Well we finally managed to get Tim a BIGGER bed. It was much needed, as he is getting so much bigger now (not to mention that he tosses and turns so much he was practically falling out of the toddler bed most nights). So he loves having a bigger bed, and is now looking forward to having his good friend Jacob over to stay the night.
It's amazing to think of what a dollar will get you these days... a burger, a big gulp, a candy bar... a great after noon of fun at the park. I found this inflatable flying disk at our local 99 cent store... who knew the kids would go gaga over it! We took them to the park, and it was a huge hit. And not just with our kids, but several others at the park too. One little boy was so upset that he had to leave before he was done playing with it. They all had a blast, and amazingly the disk has help up quite well, and I think we will be taking it on another trip to the park very soon.
Alexa has taking in recent days to pretending to be a butterfly. I love the way she "flutters" around the house with the cute little wings on. She has such a great imagination. It always amazes me the things these two can come up with.
Memorial Day was lots of fun here. Since Mike was home we took advantage of the time, and did something fun. We took the the kids to play mini golf for the first time. (Sorry the pics are a little fuzzy, they were taken on my camera phone :P) The kids had a great time. We are wondering if golf may be in Tim's future as he managed to get the ball in the hole with only 3-4 hits on most of the courses. Not to shabby for his first time. Lex did pretty good too. We thought it was great when she would get the ball in and turn to us and say "Ha I beat you!" even when she was the last one to get her ball in.
Ok last but not least, now that the weather has warmed up we took advantage of it, and went to play in a local splash fountain area today. It was a lot of fun, and as usual I managed to get some really good pics... here are a few more. LOL (for more water pictures like this one visit my other blog)
Well we have been busy little bees lately, and the summer has only just begun. We are looking towards a very busy few months. So for now I end with a "Thanks for stopping by" and another photo of the kids.
