Update

Sorry for the serious delay in updating the blog. Seems to me I have been posting a lot of updates lately. Hopefully I can get back into a regular posting routine now that we have the new computer and we are getting back into the swing of things school wise.
We were with out a computer for several weeks and I am now playing catch up, trying to update everything that was on my other system. Lemmie start with the current and work back to where the other blog ended. :)
We are doing well. We are "officially" back in school. I say that, but yet we have not done much this week due to illness. Nothing major, but it has been just enough to be disruptive. :P Although on Sat. we did get some running around in and we are now the proud owners of a pet fish named "Purple" (Take a guess who named it...LOL), 2 venus fly traps and 2 octopus plants (I am hoping the plants survive awhile as I want to use them for part of our science project this year.). Anyway, now Lex says Lenny (our guinea pig) has a fishy friend. LOL.
In August we attended a DiamondBacks game with my folks. We had a really good time. It helps that they won. :) This was the kids first pro baseball game. Tim is really into sports now.
He has informed us that now he really wants to go see a Cardinals football game. Heh, so we are looking into what we can do. :)
We spent some time at the zoo over the summer... they have a splash pad and open at 6am, so we like to go early and watch as they feed and take care of the animals, and then when it starts to get hot we are already to get cooled off in the water. I will just post all the zoo shots here. :)
I would love to post a lot more, as I tend to be camera happy... LOL but I know that would take up a lot of space. I am still trying to get hubby to work on getting my email back up, so anyone who would like more email me and I will send some more to you once it is back up.  :)
We also spent some time at my in-laws pool along with the kids' Uncle. We always have fun. Erika just cracks me up though (and scares me a little)... she has no fear and just wants to jump right in the water.

We also have been out in the back quite a bit. We have been playing in the water and have also endured the occasional rain storm. The kids will take whatever opportunity they can get to play in the mud.
It has been a quite summer over all. We are certainly hitting the ground running now though. We started back to our homeschool group last week... I should have the pics up soon. October is shaping up to be one busy month with only one weekend where we do not have plans of some sort . We are also already looking ahead to the holidays to make some plans, so if you want in, now would be the time to book some time with us... LOL. Anyway all that promises to make for lots of pics and updates. :)
I am ending with some random shots of the kids. Enjoy!!

Update

Here are some random shots from our summer so far. We have been to the Arizona Sea Life Aquarium, the park, zoo and Tempe Town lake. I have also included some random shots I thought were cute! All in all a good and busy summer so far. :) I should have some more pics to post after the 4th and I will try and get in a comment or two then as well. Hope everyone is well and having a wonderful summer. Thanks!

Delay

Sorry for the delay in posting. Life got busy and I just did not make the time to post like I should have. I wanted to get this up yesterday, but was having problems getting blogger to upload photos correctly. I have also been sans a camera, so I am borrowing one at the moment. Hopefully soon I will have another one, so I can start shooting more pics on a regular basis. :)

Anyway, we had a good Easter. We spent it with family here at home. This was really the first Easter that Erika was really able to get into. She loved being able to find the eggs and would get all excited when she found one. Tim and Lex are at the competition phase... that was interesting. They had to constantly compare to see who had more eggs and who found them the fastest. They were joined by their cousins and uncles. It was a really good day all around.
We have done the zoo thing several times in the last month. I figure we better go before it gets too hot. Although the weather here has been weird, as it gets hot and then cools back down. The temp today is only supposed to be 84, yet last week it was in the upper 90's. Silly Arizona weather. :)

The last few times we have been to the zoo we have had some up close experiences with the baboons. It's really neat to see the kids (and the baboons) reactions to each other.
I do ask for the kids to pose nicely, but it seems when I do that one or the other tries to do something silly. I guess it's good... I now have something to bargain with when they become teenagers. :)

Our latest outing with our homeschool group was to the science center. These outing are a lot of fun, since they are with kids Tim and Lex have played with all year. The kids really had a good time, as they are finally old enough now to understand a lot more about how a lot of the stuff works. They seemed to have the most fun with the computer stuff, and anything that was motion based. Tim loved the climbing wall and the pulley system (I was amazed that he could pull himself up, as he is 50 pounds.) Lex liked the planetarium and the music room where they got to see how various instruments work. Erika was fascinated by the balls that "float" in the air streams and she liked being able to get out and "build" with the magnetix pieces.

My Mother's day present was a trip the Botanical Gardens and the butterfly exhibit. It was really neat to be able to see them in such an up close environment. The kids were excited when one landed on my back... and then awhile later one landed right on the front of Tim's shirt. For more images you can check out my photo blog here . Even Erika got excited when one landed on her stroller... She just kept saying "Fly... Fly" and she would get all excited.

Anyway so that is all for now. I will try and be more diligent about posting. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Ciao!

Another month has come and gone

Well another month has come and gone... and we have been busy. With Erika growing by leaps and bounds every day and Tim and Lex learning new things all the time, it can get a little crazy here some days.
My dad and I were on the phone recently and the kids were playing in the background. He asked me "Is your house ever quiet?" "No... not really." LOL (Even when the kids are sleeping they mumble and make noises... heh)

So the weather here has been weird the last few weeks. For living in the desert we sure have been getting lots of rain. It's actually been kind of nice.

I took the two older kids out in the front yard the other day and snapped some pictures... they came out cute.

Mike and I even managed a date not to long ago. We went to a wonderful Japanese place, where they cook the food at the table. It was so nice to have a conversation that did not include "Sit down!", "Don't touch that!" and "Please keep your hands to yourself!" LOL We had a great time. Both food and conversation we great. :)

We also had a spontaneous adventure, as the weather has been so nice, we really have not wanted to be indoors. So... after going for a hike, we decided to just drive and explore the areas around Phoenix. It was great. I have never seen so many cacti in one spot in all the time I have been here. It was an amazing site. We had a blast!
For more images like these check out my photo blog here! Thanks!

Anyway, so that has been our month of March... April is starting to look pretty busy with Easter and several outings already planned. Should be lots of fun!
Thanks so much for stopping by...

Update

Ok well the end of Feb. is almost here. We have had a busy month. We started off with Tim and Lex's birthdays. It was fun. We decided to do Knight and Princess party. (They wanted separate one's at first, but I am not ready for that just yet... so we sold them on this idea). It came out cute. We had a castle cake, dragon pinata, and the kids all got knight and princess stuff to take home. It was a good time!

Then after that we once again took advantage of the nice weather and spent some time out doors. I managed to get some good shots of the kids!(I will be sending hard copies of  these in the mail this weekend) :)

Valentine's day was fun. We had a party with our homeschool group. The kids made holders and then exchanged Valentine's. Shesh, my hand hurt after we made all ours, but they sure came out cute!

Erika is doing well... LOL. I had to post this one with her hair... She is the only one of my kids that has hair that sticks straight up first thing in the morning. It's pretty funny!
She is a complete busy body these days... into everything. She is also somewhat of a daredevil as she loves to climb and jump and be flipped around. Shesh. She is talking now a little. We took her to the zoo for the first time in awhile and she got all excited and was making all the animal sounds. It was cute to see her get so excited.
Plus she is so friendly that I don't think she stopped waving the whole time we were on the train. LOL.

My in laws got the kids a table for their birthday.
Erika was so upset about being in her high chair and threw a fit until I let her sit down at the new table with the other two. She certainly has a mind of her own these days!

Well, I guess that is all for now, but we have a busy weekend, and then we have picture day for our homeschool yearbook. I will try and get them posted as soon as I get them. We also have several outings for March planned... plus with the weather getting to be so nice I am sure we will be out and about so I should have lots to blog about next month.

Please take care and thanks for stopping by!

P.S. I could not resist posting this one... because "It is good to be queen!" (Even if it is only in my mind!)
