Making History

I usually don't post my political views here... but I am making an exception today!
I am so excited about the upcoming political election... especially with the addition of Sarah Palin to the GOP ticket. I first heard of her on one of the mommy blogs I frequent, and I was enthralled by her staunch pro-life stance and her committed work ethic. (She was back at work in the Alaska Governor's office just 3 days after having a baby... one with Down's Syndrome no less!) She is truly an amazing woman.
I have looked at the work she has done for the state of Alaska, and am impressed. She has stood up against some powerful people. I feel she is a great addition to the Vice Presidency. I think we will be hearing a lot from her in the up coming election, as well as for many years to come! Congratulations to our Presidential nominee John McCain for making a very smart choice for a running mate!
Also making history this week for the Democrats was the nomination of the the first African American man as the Democratic Presidential nominee. I may not agree with all of Senator Obama's views, but that is still a HUGE deal. Not to mention Hillary Clinton breaking the glass ceiling for women all over the world. I think Palin's appointment to vice president just put a few more cracks there as well. I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful time in American history... this election will prove to be a truly historical moment... and I am proud to be a part of it!

To cute

So we were coloring this morning, and I asked Tim what he was drawing... He told me he was drawing his (pretend) pet cat named Fluppy. Apparently Fluppy has no ears and lots of spikes. Oh and we learned in the car the other day she is apparently very fast, as she was able to run along side the car and keep up with us even in traffic. Anyway here is what Fluppy looks like:

Also here is Alexa's rendition of Daddy:

The kids really are just to cute sometimes.
Enjoy!

Big news

Well once again I was hoping to have a baby announcement. You know the one everyone has been dying to know about for the last two months... you know... the announcement on whether the baby is a boy or girl. Well...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
We still don't know. (sigh) I know I know,we all want to form a mob and go down to my Dr's office and demand that he do an ultra sound right now... we want to know!
I went in for my appointment today fully expecting to come home with some news. Something. But the Lord must be teaching me patience,as my Dr. was stuck with another delivery, at the hospital. So alas, they will schedule another ultra sound for next month, and hope all goes well.
And so the debate at our house continues... Tim waffling between wanting a brother or sister and Lex adamant that the baby is a girl. Mike is still convinced the baby is a boy,and as for me... I am just glad all is going well and looking forward to finding out so we can end the madness. LOL
Anyway, so another 4 weeks... (I think I will just hideout in my room til then to avoid all the commotion.(sigh))
Anyway, here are some photos of me in all my pregnant glory.(I was only about 6 1/2 months here, and I look huge. I know the end result will be worth it, but I hate to think what I will look like at my due date. LOL)

Updates and more to come...

Ok I know I promised photos over the weekend...so what else is new... I am late as usual.
We actually had a pretty good weekend... after going to the park on Thurs., we spent Fri. moving things around in the house, and what was supposed to be a one day project turned into a whole weekend project (and to be honest, still is not completely done). But we did manage to find the time to take the kids to see the movie Space Chimps. It was pretty funny... although there were a lot of double meanings to some of the jokes... but most of that stuff was way over the kids heads. There was nothing really bad about any of it. I think it was trying to be like Aladdin and put some jokes in there the parents would get. LOL. The kids loved it, and want to get the DVD... I am thinking Christmas... but we'll see. :)
Anyway, I am hoping to have an announcement tomorrow, so for now, I leave you with a few photos and the promise of some big news tomorrow... so make sure to check back... (hehe I got you all hooked now. LOL)

Summer Montage

Ok I know it has been awhile since I posted. Unfortunately, it has been been a pretty miserable summer here the last month (or longer...) with temps climbing into the 110-115 range. YUCK! So to be honest, we have been homebodies the last few weeks. We did attempt to venture to the park yesterday for an adventure (Tim is very big on trips being adventures now. LOL), but even at 9am it was hot and sticky, so were home by 10. I did still manage to get some pictures, and I will try and get them up this weekend. So to tide you all over I am posting a Summer Fun montage. We may not have done a whole lot since Memorial day, but we have still managed to have a great time anyway. Hope you like it, and check back soon...
Thanks!
